Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Recreation Sports Coordinator to join our team! This role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing recreational sports activities and events that promote wellness, teamwork, and community involvement. You’ll play a key role in creating engaging programs that cater to individuals of all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, coordinate, and implement recreational sports programs.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteer coaches and officials.
- Schedule games, practices, and events while ensuring proper facility usage.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making improvements as necessary.
- Maintain equipment inventory and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Promote activities through social media, flyers, and community outreach.
- Provide excellent customer service to participants, parents, and community members.
- Fuel the Fun After Hours: Be the go-to person who brings energy and enthusiasm to our evening and weekend programs — where the community comes alive after the sun goes down.
Qualifications:
- Degree in recreation management, sports management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in planning and managing sports programs.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and age ranges.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
