Meet the Instructor: Katie Catalano
Katie has been dancing with Northern Explosion Dance Studio since 2008, but started dancing at just 3 years old! As a dancer, she was part of our National Champion clogging team, the first from the Northeast since the Maine Attraction Cloggers in the early 2000s. Katie has been an assistant teacher since age 14 and began her first lead teaching role five years ago. She currently teaches Competition Hip Hop, Competition Clogging, and Adult Burlesque! Katie has performed with the American Clogging All Stars at the Alamo Bowl halftime show and this year will join them again for the Hollywood Christmas Parade and Daytona 500! Outside of dance, Katie is a Lead Teacher at Kennebunk Children's Academy. She is excited to share her passion for dance with the kids in Wells! Katie brings energy, positivity, and technique to every class and loves helping dancers grow in both their skills and their passion for dance.
